Bryan Adams delivers electrifying performance to 15,000 fans in Gurugram

Mumbai, 13th December 2024: Rock legend Bryan Adams proved his enduring star power last night with a sold-out show at the Backyard Sports Club in Gurugram. The 65-year-old singer-songwriter captivated a crowd of 15,000, creating an intimate and unforgettable concert experience within the venue’s spacious setting.

The nearly two-hour performance was a masterclass in showmanship, seamlessly weaving together four decades of hits and deeper cuts from Adams’ extensive discography. The setlist for the So Happy It Hurts India Tour expertly balanced crowd-pleasing anthems with more emotionally resonant ballads. From the high-energy opening with Kick Ass, the latest single from his fifteenth studio album, So Happy It Hurts, to the poignant acoustic closer, All For Love, the audience responded with unrestrained enthusiasm, singing along to every lyric and creating an electrifying atmosphere. The performance effortlessly transitioned between upbeat classics like Summer Of ’69, Run To You and Can’t Stop This Thing We Started and heartfelt ballads such as Please Forgive Me. The inclusion of fan-requested songs, sourced from online submissions and signs held by audience members, further personalized the experience and strengthened the connection between artist and audience. A sight to behold was when the legendary artist walked through the crowd midway through the show to serenade the audience from the sound console.

The production design enhanced the concert experience with a visually engaging spectacle. A remote-controlled blimp camera playfully added a whimsical element, while a large LED screen captured the crowd’s energetic response, transforming the audience into active participants in the performance. The band’s exceptional musicianship – Keith Scott (guitar, 40 years with Adams), Gary Breit (keyboards, 20 years), Pat Steward (drums) – elevated the performance to new heights, their years of experience and powerful backing vocals seamlessly complementing Adams’ powerful vocals.

Bryan Adams commented after the show, “The energy in Gurugram was electric! The connection with the audience was palpable; it was a truly special night and it felt good to be back performing for all of you after so many years.

Deepak Chaudhary, Founder of EVA Live, stated, “The show sold out in record time, proving the incredible demand for Bryan Adams in Gurugram. This wasn’t just about ticket sales; it was about creating a truly memorable experience. Seeing the joy on the faces of those 15,000 fans, feeling that infectious energy – that was the most rewarding part. Our meticulous planning – from the lighting and sound to security and accessibility – ensured a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone.”

The Gurugram concert, the third leg of the So Happy It Hurts India Tour, was more than just a performance; it served as a powerful testament to the enduring power of music to connect people and create lasting memories.
