Roop Ghuman releases his four tracks EP ‘Mushaira’

Mumbai, 5^th March 2023: After releasing some popular tracks like Maekhana, Koi Hall, Shaami Mildi, Saare Chann Te Tare and more popular Punjabi music artist Roop Ghuman has released his new EP Mushaira. Mushaira is a concept EP consisting of four songs. As the name suggests, this EP is a metaphor for a ‘Mushaira’ where four poets tell their stories through poetries. Each of these characters has a very distinct and intriguing personality depicted beautifully through the lyrics and music.

Talking about the sound of the EP Roop says ” It is a very unique and perfect blend of orchestral music with hip-hop beats and to add a cherry on top Roop maintains a vintage flavour throughout.”

A quick look through the EP, ‘Ugg Painde Gulab’ is a romantic song from a poet in which he confesses his love to his beloved, saying that roses start blooming from the pages he writes her name on. While ‘Ugg Painde Gulab’ gives a take of a conventional lover, the next song, ‘Ashiqa’n Ch Badnaam’ is a story of an infamous lover with a bad reputation. This lover is, however, classified among respected poets. He is a dishonest lover, but his writing makes people fall in love with him. The song, later on, goes on to describe that behind his notorious personality is a lonely and anguished person and nobody knows his yearning. 

The next two songs, ‘Kite Shayar Banja Main’ is a poet’s wish to feel everybody’s emotions and write about them. Be it heartbreak, a new love, the lives of youth or the separation of families etc. He wants to listen to everybody’s stories and do his bit in easing their pain and be a part of their joyous moments. While, ‘Bahro Kayar Andro Shayar’ is a roadside romeo poet who wants to confess his love but is too timid and shy to actually face her, so he writes his frustration in his poetry.
