Meera releases ‘Tiptoes’ as she gears to release a Christmas EP

Mumbai, 22^nd November 2024: Singer-songwriter Meera is set to spread holiday cheer with her upcoming EP, “A Very Meera Christmas”, which is slated for release on December 6th. To kick things off, she has dropped the first single, “Tiptoes”, today.

Very few Indian artists have ventured into the realm of a dedicated Christmas EP, making Meera’s project both unique and exciting. Meera’s Indian- American culture also plays into the styles and themes of the EP. She grew up in the US in the suburbs of New York, where she has fond memories of celebrating Christmas. The songs are infused with her nostalgia of having cozy Christmas family gatherings complete with Harry Potter marathons, doing 10 hour family road trips from New York to West Virginia to spend time with her cousins on Christmas and New Year, driving around after dinner to see the Christmas lights in her neighbourhood, falling asleep to Christmas songs on the radio with her sister, and so much more.

“Christmas has always been a time for reflection, joy, and togetherness for me,” says Meera. “This EP is my take on Christmas and I’m excited to share these songs with everyone. ‘Tiptoes’ is just the beginning, and I can’t wait for you all to hear the rest of the EP!”.
