My music taste is very diverse and contrasting: Zellix

ZelliX is an Indian singer-songwriter, DJ and a multi genre music producer. He started with Electronic Dance Music as his initial style but soon got attracted towards the Pop Music. his 2020 hit single Chalo Chalein now has over 2M+ streams. He has recently released his song ‘Nasha’ under T-Series banner and took some time out for a quick interaction. Here is what he has to say:

How do you define the music of Zellix?

‘Zellix’ music is all about soulful melodies and eccentric music. I like to fuse a lot of Indian instruments in all of my songs. I also like to make songs in every style and genre, because I think it keeps my music fresh.

⁠⁠Tell us more about your song Nasha, what makes it special for you?

‘Nasha’ is all about feeling intoxicated in love. I wrote this song in 2022 when I was a little skeptical if it would sound nice or not because I was singing melodies on a drill beat, which is quite experimental. But, as time passed, I refined it more and more, which made me feel confident enough to put this out. I am super amazed to see that people are loving it a lot.

⁠⁠How did the collaboration with T Series come about and how has been your experience?

Working with T-Series has been really nice. I like the whole experience of working in this new way of releasing music and working in the industry which is very different when I take the independent path. This is of course a really good experience for me and my team, and we are honestly super excited for our future collaborations with T-Series as well.

My music taste is very diverse and contrasting. I like to listen to Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Salim-Sulaiman, Kailash Kher, Seedhe Maut, Pop Smoke, KING, Gurinder Gill, Ikka, Karan Aujla, DIVINE, Masoom Sharma and many more.

⁠⁠How does the year 2025 look for you?

For me, 2025 has started on a really good note because we just released ‘Nasha’ and I am honestly very excited for 2025 ahead because we have a lot of releases lined up. As I announced last year, In 2025 I will be releasing music in a lot of different styles, genres and languages, so yes, I am super pumped!

⁠⁠As an independent artist, what makes working with T Series, the biggest label in India, compelling as well as rewarding?

I think the name ‘T-Series’ is really big on its own. Every kid in the corner knows what T-Series is so yes, I think it’s really huge in India. For an independent artist like me, It makes it really smooth to Market my music and make visually pleasing music videos which makes me portray my art to the world in an amazing way.

I am just really grateful for all the people that loves me and my music. It really motivates me to the core and I just wanna keep making music like this and make the world more vibrant.
