I want to become a generational superstar: Kayden Sharma

Mumbai, 26^th September 2024: Kayden has been on a roll ever since his stint with MTV Hustle. Catching everyone’s attention, he has created a unique identity of his own. Upon his latest release, “Tu Aayegi”, we took some time out from him for a quick interaction.

It is interesting to know how this song came about. While sharing his experience of composing ‘Tu Aayegi’, he says, “I was randomly jamming and trying to freestyle some melodies. From that session, I got the composition. It sounded very good to me, and I felt like this could really turn into a good song”.

Talking further about the genre and tonality of the song he said, “The composition was very sad kind, so I thought writing about your loved one who is not there with you anymore. I thought it would suit the tempo of the composition. I penned the lyrics which emerged from my own experiences”.

One of the few artists in India who could get a chance to work with T-Series, hence it is obvious to know how it went. Sharing his experience with T-Series, Kayden says, “Great! This collaboration made me focus only on the artistic stuff and didn’t let me feel any burden which comes with releasing music independently. This track was made in 2022, however, there was no beat to it at that time. After hustle I thought of presenting this to T-Series, it got approved and then Tedd came onboard to make the beat for this song. This is how we made the track and how the collaboration came through”.

For any artist in the Hip-Hop genre, MTV Hustle has become a go-to platform. It gives a chance to them to be known, recognised and take their career a level up. About his experience post MTV Hustle Kayden shared, “Lifestyle has completely changed, music sense has evolved a lot, I have started thinking more like a professional”.

Well, all said and done, at the end of it, it is the music that talks volumes about an artist. On the music front, Kayden is going great and closed our interaction by saying, “I just want to make good music, release it and do lot of live performances. I want to become a generational superstar, if not this year maybe next or next. There is a lot of stuff in the bank, everything is being planned and will be revealed soon”.
