Mumbai, 9th July 2021: Last Minute India is a six-piece Hindi Alt Rock Band that was formed by Subodh Gupta (Bass/Backing Vocals) and Bhumit Gor (Guitar), back in 2013. Later, Austin Furtado (Lead Guitar) joined the band along with Jay Jain (Production/Backing Vocals). The band was finally complete with the addition of Abdul Shaikh (Vocals) and Yash Khona (Drums). This was some time back in their lives as musicians.
Very recently, they have released “Kaagaz Ki Naav”, and the song has generated great response from the listeners. The song was added by Spotify in their editorial playlists like Radar India and Rock in India. Wynk music also featured this song as a part of their editorial playlist Latest Indie and New Age Indie Pop. The song has garnered approximately 88,000 views on YouTube and over 100,000 streams on Spotify.
When asked about the song, the band said, “As kids, we all made paper boats during monsoons. Call it childlike innocence, but we all expected it to sail through, but sadly, the reality was always otherwise. Even as grown ups now, we always cling on to this hope. This hope of things working out, relationships working out, somewhere knowing that it won’t. This song is all about this hope that we hold on to, suppressing our grievances and terming it as being understanding and compatible, just so that it finally works out. This hope is what we call Kaagaz Ki Naav”. Well, this sums up the song in itself.
Check out the song and follow these wonderful musicians to keep a tab on more of their upcoming work. We had a great time listening to Kaagaz Ki Naav, Aao Na and Nadaan, all of them showcase the musical prowess of Last Minute India and the potential they have for the future!
