Raman Negi’s second album ‘Chaltey Purzay’ is a must listen!

The eight-track album delves further into the artist’s lyrical talent while remaining rooted in his pop/rock foundations

New Delhi, 3^rd October 2024: The New Delhi-based songwriter and composer has launched his second album, “Chaltey Purzay,” on September 29, 2024.

The album features eight tracks that showcase a rich sonic landscape and lyrical journeys. It includes everything from drum-heavy dream pop to introspective acoustic guitar pieces. While “Chaltey Purzay” highlights the artist’s signature pop/rock sound, it also delves into darker and moodier themes. Lyrically, the artist explores topics such as narcissism, interdependency, love, the meaning of life, and his relationship with critics, all expressed through poignant combinations of Hindi and Urdu.

“Chaltey Purzay is as about the world as Shakhsiyat was inward looking. After having written consistently for a few years about my most personal thoughts, Chaltey Purzay is a departure from all that. It talks about the people who shape my world, it’s about my place as an artist in the larger machinery. It’s about looking around and letting my  inherent curiosity take over and then documenting my observations into songs. Chaltey Purzay is literally a term for a curious, clever person who is full of intrigue about the unknown. So this is a saga of figuring out how the world works. In some sense, it’s reflecting on the aftermath of everyday life from the perspective of an artist who is still figuring his place in the world”, says Raman.
