Mumbai, 7th October 2024: Shreya Bajpai, a 28-year-old singer-songwriter from India, is one of the promising names coming out in the recent times. Having fared well with her singles ‘With(out) You’, ‘Differences’ and ‘Outsourced’ and ‘Not Just Your Body’ last year, she is out with her latest release, ‘Sweet Lie’.
Coming from a creative academic background and being involved with various forms of performing arts, the themes of her music are very closely linked with her personal experiences which are very vivid and sensitive in nature. Her latest single ‘SWEET LIE’ is composed and writer by Shreya, recorded in Sony music publishing studio in Mumbai, produced by a Delhi based producer Aman Baibhaw. The song was mixed by Aman and mastered by Rudransh Thakur.
Talking about the song Shreya said, “Sweet lie is a cheesy banter about all the collective lies spoken referred to as a singular entity “lie”. It is called sweet because of its harmless nature which won’t hurt and is probably only spoken to save the moment for everyone involved. It is a hypothesis stating that some lies are sweet and necessary. However, the music video is about making this song happen with Aman and Shreya involved. The music making process on the couch soon gets projected to a dream world where they can be seen having fun across the city grooving on the sound”.

The music video was shot by Joseph Fernandes who made us explore parts of Mumbai while shooting. The project turned out to be a great outing with everyone involved and the whole idea was fun to execute.
